About me

Hi! My name is Dawn,
I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Masters of Education in Rehabilitation Counseling and Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, License Professional Counselor Supervisor, License Addiction Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Master Addiction Counselor and Clinical Addiction Counselor II. I have more than twenty five years of experience in Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders. I have over ten years of evidence base group counseling experience. I am a member of the South Carolina Clinical Mental Health Counselors Association and NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals.
I believe in establishing a working relationship where we partner together to reach your identified goals. Some of the techniques I use in therapy include cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, as well as person centered therapy.

I have helped clients to manage depression, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, grief and loss, adjusting to life changes, and improving communication skills. I also work with and provide support to clients in their recovery process related to substance use disorders.
