Aloha! I am a licensed independent clinical social worker in the state of Hawaii and the state of Massachusetts.
During my time as a therapist, I have had the privilege of working with many different people in a variety of settings in Massachusetts and many of the Hawaiian Islands. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD and ADHD.
My approach is working in partnership with my clients by providing a warm, confidential environment and to tailor therapy unique to the individual. Clinical approach is strength and practice incorporates mindful psychology. Once a problem is identified, cognitive behavioral interventions are implemented to identify thinking errors, and restructure cognitive distortions with more adaptive responses, and prosocial behaviors that support positive change.
Currently based in Boston, MA ( and missing the consistent warm weather of the Islands), I am very family oriented and enjoy spending time in the city.
Sometimes asking for help is the bravest move you can make and you don't have to do it alone. If you are ready to take the next steps to a happier and more fulfilling life, I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working together!

I have been doing sessions with Dawn for a few months now and I have seen an incredible amount of progress. Her attention to detail, the fact that she remembers or can recall basically anything about me or my situation is astonishing and she has been very flexible with timing even though we are various time zones apart. Would highly recommend Dawn to anyone trying this service out.
Dawn is amazing. Before BetterHelp, I'd been looking for in-person therapy for about a year and a half. In that time, I'd had a concussion and had been shuffled around from emergency room to emergency room, and hadn't gotten the proper help I'd needed until much later. Months after I'd gotten basic medical care did I eventually get a response from a hospital, willing to let me apply for DBT. I had 8 sessions and they didn't go well, and my applications to 12 other therapists had gone unanswered or were unavailable to help because of my insurance. Finally i found better help, and I'd gone through two therapists on BetterHelp that I hadn't clicked with before finding Dawn. My first therapist just asked me to share everything and didn't respond or give me much engaged feedback, and the second therapist only recommended meditation and exercise. No one touched the real issues that were there, and the process was incredibly frustrating. Then I found Dawn. Dawn is AMAZING. If you're reading this and you're having a hard time, please know that I'm trying to do my good deed of the day by sharing how incredible she is and risking her not having as much time for me because she's been an angel and everyone should know. Dawn listens to what I'm saying and then asks me how I feel, what I'm thinking, and then we work through the problem by identifying the core issue instead of just slapping proverbial bandaids on the problem and pretending it's better. She's also really personable - sometimes I get nervous talking about things but I've never felt like I was talking to the "Freud-lying on the couch- 'this is all because of your mother'" type therapist - she's really sweet and warm, and I have no trouble opening up. As crappy as the process was to find her, I'd do it again because I really think I've found someone that can help.
Working with Dawn has been like working with a good (and very knowledgable) friend. We have come full circle with everything we have started talking about from day 1. She understands, she can easily relate and she has a great attitude. She always lets me finish my train of thought even if she has to wait to say hers because she wants to make sure that she's heard everything you have to say, and that you can also reflect on the things you say. She has all the right questions, i didn’t think i would get this much out of this app after my first failed counsellor but Dawn proved me wrong.
Dawn is absolutley awesome! She is a fantastic listener, and responds to what I am talking about at the most appropriate times. She is very kind and easy to talk to.
Dawn is great! Having someone to talk to is amazing, and her being so young still gives her another advantage when talking about anxieties I've had with the start of my adult life. I really feel like she listens to and responds extremely well to everything I say!
Dawn has a great schedule, and is very easy to talk to. She was receptive to my needs and let me work at my own pace.
