Dayna Russo

(MSW, LCSW)

About Me

My name is Dayna Russo, and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 11 years of combined unlicensed and licensed experience in the social work field. I have a Master's of Social Work from Florida State University, and have experience working children, adolescents and adults through individual, family and couples counseling. My work focuses on mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, trauma and PTSD, and personality disorders.

I use a range of clinical approaches in my practice, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused care of ARC, and solution-focused treatment. In our work together, we'll focus on past and present struggles to set attainable goals to address, learn to recognize patterns in mood and behavior and learn new coping strategies. I want to help people reach their fullest potential, and feel comfortable talking about their mental health.

As a clinician, my practice is influenced by my own experiences and struggles; you're not alone in needing help, and seeking therapy is judgment free! Treatment will be focused on you and your experience. Many people present with similar concerns or diagnoses, but each person experiences their life and feelings differently. We will work from your perspective and experience, and make the therapeutic experience unique to you.

I look forward to working with you and helping you along this journey!

Dayna is amazing. She makes me feel welcomed to talk about anything and anyone with no judgement on what I say or what I've gone through.

I am fairly new, but am so far very impressed with Dayna’s responses. I look forward to this journey, and am encouraged to take the process seriously. It helps to feel confident in your therapist, and Dayna is yet to disappoint.

Dayna is awesome and relatable and completely listens to you and points you in the right direction when you go off course, but in a non-judgmental and healthy way.

I am so glad I am able to speak with someone who is not only helpful, but empathetic as well. Dayna does a great job of reminding me to be kinder to myself, and to stop blaming myself for things out of my control. Dayna’s responses are thought out and really touch on all the issues I express.

Dayna's understanding, empathy, and overall clinical skills far superceed any mental health counseling I've ever received. She is incredible at helping articulate your thoughts and providing very useful resources to get through the roadblocks outside of a session. Highly appreciated, highly recommended

Dayna is an amazing counselor! She's highly empathetic, understanding, relatable, and easy to talk to. She's responsive and knowledgeable. She considers the individual's unique needs instead of using a cookie-cutter approach. I would recommend her to anybody.
