Hello. My name is Deanna and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New York . I received my Masters in Social Work from the University at Buffalo's School of Social Work in 2007. I have a wide range of experience working with a variety of individuals and concerns, including grief and loss, trauma and substance abuse issues. I currently work at an outpatient mental health clinic where I provide individual therapy to adolescents, teenagers and adults. I also supervise the Forensic Department in which I serve individuals who are involved in the legal system or the Court system. My experience has allowed me the opportunity to help people during their most vulnerable and difficult times. I have a true passion for the work I do and I genuinely enjoy helping others meet their full potential and find their path to health and wellness.
I strongly believe that every person should be treated with dignity and respect. I believe that each of us have the tools needed to reach our full potential, but sometimes we need support and guidance on our journey. I use an eclectic approach that is person-centered and solution-focused. I have expansive knowledge regarding trauma and the impact it has on our lives, as well as the many experiences we have throughout our lifespan. I also recognize how difficult change can be and the importance of having support during those times. Life is hard and reaching out for help takes a lot of strength and courage.
