About me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 17 years of clinical experience. My guiding approach to effective therapy focuses on seeing the problem as separate from the person. I believe that people are the experts of their own lives. I choose to sit in a place of curiosity to help you uncover already present strengths or develop new approaches to life's challenges. I work collaboratively with those who consult me and foster a non-pathologizing and safe environment for people to have honest and sometimes painful conversations with the goal of reclaiming lost strengths, uncovering possibilities, and constructing the life they want to live.

I embrace tackling all kinds of problems and helping people create a more fulfilling life. I believe you are the author of your life story and there are a multitude of possibilities for your life just waiting to be uncovered. I love to laugh and believe laughter really is the best medicine! I find myself using humor (when appropriate) to create space to examine a problem. I enjoy the work I do with clients and find myself constantly learning from the journeys we take together.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Deanna Daniels. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I am so grateful for the time I've had and continue to have with Deanna. She is respectful, kind and patient. I've grown to trust and respect her tons and I appreciate the fluidity of our week-to-week conversations, in that they don't always need to have the same formula, but leave space for natural flow depending on my needs. I also really appreciate how she brings her personal life into our discussions. It makes me feel like I'm really building a relationship and that I can trust her perspective and where she's coming from.

I also really appreciate the philosophy she takes: that she is like an archeologist, uncovering what's within me! I highly recommend Deanna and look forward to more work with her!

Deanna has been such a blessing. She is easy to talk to, she listens and hears me and asks the hard questions I need to think about. I feel empowered and strong when I talk to her. She has helped me work through some tough issues and I will always be grateful for her and this space to talk and work through hard things.

I really appreciate the way Deanna checks on me to make sure everything is going ok for me. I was dealing with depression and breaking up with a boyfriend who was a narcissist. Deanna helped me to see that I am better without him in my life and encourages me to move forward. She has helped me realize that I am a happier person without him.
