About me

I am a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist in the state of Connecticut with over 11 years of counseling and coaching experience. I work from a variety of psychotherapy models and my specialty is in body-oriented or Somatic strategies. My degree is in Somatic Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (2010). I currently work with an attachment based model helping parents connect with their kids by addressing and understanding the underlying needs just below challenging behaviors. I love working with parents and individuals in helping them move from overwhelmed to empowered.

My style is empathetic, compassionate and direct. I have extensive experience and knowledge in trauma-informed therapy addressing issues such as early childhood trauma and abuse, Narcissistic abuse, toxic relationships, and foster care experiences. I also have extensive experience with single parenthood, co-parenting issues, and divorce and separation.

Taking that step to speak with a therapist is the first step towards healing and empowerment. It takes courage and I am here to listen, guide and work with you to create goals that are unique to you and your life. I look forward to helping you move towards a more satisfying, fulfilling and empowered life.

Deborah is wonderfully encouraging. Her approach to therapy is engaging in that it not only deals with the mind but the body also. I have picked up some amazing tools and practices to better manage any anxiety I have. I feel very lucky to have her as my therapist.

Deborah is so lovely. This is my first experience with talking to a therapist so I was very nervous & I have a hard time trusting people. As soon as we started our first video call I was shocked at how comfortable I was talking to her. She’s very supportive. Every time a session is over I can’t wait for the next one, it’s been very helpful. 10/10 would recommend Deborah, she also has very cute cats so that’s a plus.
