I have been communicating with Debra Harkness for about two weeks now and she has been extremely helpful and supportive. She gives me very specific feedback and advice which lets me know she truly understands what my concerns are; I have often felt that other therapists have responded in a very "general" or "textbook" way to my issues, but I don't feel this way with Debra. I'm looking forward to continuing BetterHelp with her as my counselor!
Dr. Harkness is compassionate and also highly adept at giving her clients concrete ways towards understanding, coping with, and even overcoming one's situation. Those who end up having her as their counselor will be in good hands. I'm so happy I got her as my counselor.
Debra Harkness is a professional counselor with apparent expertise. She is very caring and incredibly supportive. She always manages to create a bigger picture and help me express my concerns to a further degree. I feel very safe and confident with Debra; I am immensely happy that I have connected with her on this platform, and if I could I would direct everyone I know to her once they start BetterHelp. Debra always manages to grasp my interest further in understanding my self and the psychology around it. There is so much more than counseling with her, she directs me and suggests much more ways to cope with my problems and achieve an overall satisfaction in life, which is not only psychology based. She instinctively suggests more and broadens my horizons. I easily regard Debra as an A-list psychologist. By far the best one I was ever had!
Debra has helped me to verbalize and define what my issues really are. She is easy-going, checks in regularly and offers a good combination of therapy through exercises and material.
Already after a couple of sessions I feel Debra understands where I'm coming from and I'm looking forward to see the kind of solutions we together can come up with that will give me the tools I need.
Debra has been very helpful for me. She listens and picks up on issues that are relevant to my situation. I appreciate her analysis and her insights, which have been helpful for me to move through a rough stage.
I found Debra to be a very valuable source of help. She had a great way of summarizing the things troubling me, and putting them into a constructive perspective to see them in another way. Highly recommended.
Debra is a great counselor, very experienced. Everything she writes goes right to the spot. I feel better with every reply I get from her.
Debra is a fantastic therapist. Since I started working with Debra, I have seen so many improvements in my life. I have resolved some issues dating from a long time ago and I have found more peace with myself. I have improved my self-esteem and the way I see myself. I am altogether a happier person. Debra has great advice and points you in the right direction. She has also recommended some great books for me to read which has been hugely helpful. I would recommend Debra highly to anyone needing support in any aspect of life.
Debra has helped me through the hard times around Christmas and afterwards when I started to miss my mother, who died in Sept. 2016, very badly. She is very calming, compassionate, thoughtful and understanding and offers great practical help to handle grief and also anxiety. I am really appreciative of all that she has done, it was a real blessing! Thank you, again!
She is very calming. I believe I made progress from the few sessions I made myself available. My emotional being has improved and I feel I am managing work-life balance just for opening up to her. Its is online, but it feels like as if the support were with her in person.
Debra is very supportive and a great listener. She has been very helpful to me!
Debra Harkness is a wonderful therapist, she gives thoughtful insight on difficult issues and different strategies to cope (mindfulness, breathing exercises, and even book recommendations). She's very good at addressing the problems without making you feel silly about them and is quite professional.
