I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Los Angeles with over 20 years of experience working in children's, psychiatric, medical, and geriatric social work. I have worked with children, young adults, adults, and older adult clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, stress, recovery from drug and alcohol abuse/dependence, caregiver role strain, life transition, self esteem, grief and loss, and adjustment issues. In addition, I have counseled social work interns for over fifteen years pursuing their bachelor's and master's degrees with various stressors and challenges they faced during their internships. I also specialize in assisting spousal and familial caregivers, and their loved ones diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease, and/or other dementias.
My counseling style is warm, interactive, and infused with some humor to help with the healing process. I believe in treating everyone with respect, empathy, objectivity and with an open mind. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, client centered, solution focused and mindfulness therapies. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

Although we haven't talked a whole lot, I do feel comfortable talking with Denise. I'm excited to keep going and see how this works out and move on to coping with myself and experiences. I think she would definitely be an asset to my daughter as well as myself!
