About me

Hi, My name is Denise (She, Her, Hers) and I have been working in the mental health field for the last 20+ years. I have extensive experience working with teens and adults experiencing grief, depression and anxiety. I discovered my passion for social work when I was in high school and set my mind to getting a degree so I could help others as soon as I entered college. I received my bachelor's in social work in 2001, master's in social work in 2007 and my clinical license in 2014. My experience consists of community mental health, psychiatric hospital assessments, crisis counseling, school social work, individual/family and group psychotherapy. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Client and Solution focused models as well as mindfulness techniques in my practice. I have helped many clients with grief, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, life transitions, self-esteem, trauma, substance abuse, self-harm, suicidal ideation, codependency, and more. I have worked with people of all ages, races, and genders and am a LGBTQ+ affirming therapist. My goal is to provide a safe environment for you to be able to heal and grow. I have a passion for helping others and love to see the growth and healing that my clients experience. I would be honored to assist you in your healing journey.
