About me
Hello! My name is Denisha and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who attained my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. I have over 10 years of experience in the mental health field working with teens, young adults/college students, and adults. My specialities are working with those having issues with self esteem/self worth, depression, anxiety, and addictions. I also can assist in helping you transition through so many of life's different transitions. I work from a calm, caring, and non judgmental approach to therapy.
I tend to work from an eclectic approach, which means I tailor treatment to what works best for the client. My main theoretical approaches are CBT, psychodynamic, and client-centered. I am passionate about helping individuals gain freedom in the area of identity and finding true purpose for their life. I believe finding hope and meaning is the foundation for the change that is needed to have fulfilling relationships, a fulling life, and true contentment. I look forward to working with you.
