About me
Just by choosing to explore this page tells me you have found the courage to seek help. If your car runs poorly, you take it to a mechanic. If you experience sickness in your body, you go to your doctor. But when your emotional life is not going well, what do you do? Why not invest some time with a relationship professional in order to improve your quality of life?
As a Licensed Professional Counselor/Supervisor with the State of South Carolina and a National Board Certified Counselor, I provide psychotherapy and counseling, therapy for pre-marital and marital counseling, family and relationship issues, and life coaching. I specialize in treating clients for depression, anxiety and personality disorders.
I am trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) , Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Trauma-Focused CBT. I am a certified facilitator with SYMBIS and Prepare/Enrich pre-marital assessments. I believe in coming along beside each individual to assist in navigating through the difficult seasons of life. Aware of the courage required to make an appointment with a therapist, I am careful to approach each session with respect, understanding, a listening ear and a willingness to bring clarity to the confusion.
My wife and I have been married for 38+ years, and we have three grown children and six grandchildren. In my spare time, I love college football, playing guitar, strong coffee and a good laugh.
