About me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been providing therapeutic services for 8 years to individuals, families, and in group settings. I have actively engaged people seeking therapy for a variety of concerns ranging from stress management and self-esteem issues to Schizophrenia. In addition to emotional and psychological concerns, I also help those who are struggling with addiction and substance abuse. Whether it is your first time in therapy or your tenth, taking medication or never considered it, diagnosed with a mental health condition or merely feeling stressed out, l am happy to serve anyone who wants to see change in their life. No matter how small the issue may appear, nothing is too insignificant to talk about that may be impacting you in a personal way. Involving family or significant others can be beneficial to personal growth and I encourage additional support in therapy when necessary however, that is each individual's personal choice.

There can be a lot of hesitation to share very personal information about yourself to a complete stranger therefore, it is my priority to create a safe, non-judgemental , creative environment where I can use different approaches to help you explore your personal story and develop strategies that will encourage you to overcome challenges. I am trained in EMDR and can incorporate trauma focused strategies with those who would like to address traumatic experiences. When client's prefer to immediately decrease distressful symptoms or being more present focused I utilize cognitive behavioral, motivational, strength-based, and mindfulness approaches. Your process will be tailored to you with no "one-size fits all" goal setting. I enjoy being creative in the process to help you get out of your comfort zone and to open up the windows of your heart and mind in a meaningful way.

It takes courage to make these first steps toward change and I am excited to embark on this journey alongside you. I am here to support you and look forward to working with you.
