I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) as well as a Qualified Supervisor (QS) for Social Work Interns. I obtained my Masters degree in 2011 from the University of Central Florida. I am also involved in coordinating community networking events to support other professionals in the industry while gathering resources that my clients may benefit from. In my spare time I enjoy self care which allows me to preserve and impove my own health and well being.
Healthcare is the foundation of my professional career. I have 16 years of Social Work and healthcare experience. Healthcare is where I developed a passion for those who deal with the day to day struggles of life which can sometimes include mental health related issues/concerns. Many people think of healthcare as physical/medical health . Healthcare also includes mental health and self-care. Some of my goals are to assist you with staying in control of your life by protecting your peace, creating changed behaviors to maximize your well being and quality of life. I have been able to do this with many different people over the years while working in a hospital, clinics and centers. I have also worked as a Systems Educator of Case Management (CM) for a 7 campus hospital where I have experience in training CM Nurses and Social Work employees. I have managed Social Interns as well as volunteers to help them build their career path and support their journey in the profession of Social Work.
My clinician to client interaction is a down to earth approach. This is a judgement free zone. We can discuss your needs, concerns and determine the best plan of action for you to take. I am available to assist you with creating goals/action steps to meet those needs. After all, a plan is just a plan without taking the necessary steps to make it happen.
