I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor in Tennessee. I graduated from Bushnell university in 2018. I have worked for an outpatient agency, residential facility, hospital, and in private practice.
My goal as a counselor is to empower you to become confident, strong, and connected with your inner self and others. I work with individuals to address issues including depression, anxiety, and trauma. I stay attuned to both your emotional and physical distress during session. Together we will seek to develop the whole you, including your mental, emotional and physical self. We will find the puzzle pieces of the story which your body shares with us. From day one, we will work tirelessly on achieving your therapeutic goals.
I incorporate cognitive behavioral interventions, somatic work, and narrative therapy. We may unearth difficult material during sessions but we will work gently to improve your distress tolerance and increase your life quality. Due to my multicultural background, I have a unique understanding of cultural heritage and how it impacts our chosen trajectories.
It is a deep honor to listen to my client’s stories. I am in awe of how much the human spirit endures. Vulnerability and honest communication are fostered in our sessions. I focus our energy towards building a safe, trusting relationship. My commitment is to help you thrive.
I look forward to working together!

This is probably a cliche story, but I tried therapy several times in the past. I signed up for BetterHelp and had two therapists that I did not particularly care for. I was going to stop trying therapy because at this point and had tried 4 in my life and they had all been less than stellar. Luckily, I decided with my last three weeks of BetterHelp to try a new therapist. That’s when I met Diana. I went from having nothing but mediocre to negative therapy interactions to nothing but positive ones. I cannot recommend her enough.

I had a wonderful experience working with Diana. She is supportive, intuitive and knowledgeable and always made me feel 'heard.' A very gentle soul. She provided me with a variety of tools that have been very helpful in navigating through some really tough family and personal situations, including the deep sorrow and grief over the loss of my mother.

I have worked with Diana for the past 10 months and have to say she is the best therapist that I have ever worked with. She focuses on ensuring that there is a collaborative approach to counseling rather than coming from a place of authority or exerting her expertise. She is very invested in her clients and wants to see them achieve goals and positive outcomes. She expects you to do the work and deconstruct what you may be experiencing but she is right there to guide you through it all. I have enjoyed working with her and would highly recommend her to anyone.

Written on Jan 02, 2022 after therapy with Diana for 4 months on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, parenting issues, self esteem, career difficulties, and compassion fatigue
Diana is the Best Therapist I have ever had. She sends me valuable information/research and while she is scientific, she is also SO very kind, and supportive. I met with a therapist before I found better help, and was disappointed, so I took a chance on Better help. I loved that I could search on BH based on what I wanted in a therapist and was matched to the perfect person for me.
She is kind, sympathetic, supportive, and I don't know how I could have made it through (and still making it through) a terrible time in my life, with such overwhelming grief, without her. She made me a priority client immediately and was always available when I needed her, still is. She is awesome! Thank you and Thanks to her.

Diana has been the biggest blessing for me. I was so scared to start therapy and had no idea if or how it would help me but from our very first session, I felt a wave of relief wash over me because I knew I wasn’t alone and that Diana was going to walk through this with me. She is kind, attentive, understanding, and supportive. She is always quick to respond to me and give me encouragement and tools to help me in whatever the circumstance. I couldn’t imagine a better therapist for me and I truly feel so lucky that I have her on my side.
