About me

I have over 31 years of experience working with clients. I have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I completed my APA-approved internship year at Maimondies Medical Center and Community Mental Center in Brooklyn, NY. I am a very caring and compassionate psychologist. My approach is Christian, client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and insight-oriented. I have worked with clients of all ages, and am especially skilled in helping my clients come closer to God, others, and self. I incorporate Christian teachings into my therapy and help my subscribers learn to love in a way they never have before. By truly loving God and and others, we can come to love and accept ourselves. I also believe in respecting the client, and in respecting the direction that they want to take in therapy, with gentle therapeutic direction at times. Come cast off your burdens so that you can live a fulfilled life, overflowing with love, happiness, and prosperity!

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11

Dr D Wilcox has been so helpful to me as I navigate the care of my elderly mom (and the stress that goes with it!). She always has practical, good advice for me- She uses a Christian emphasis which helps too! Can’t say enough about Dr D! She is really helping me.

Dr. Wilcox is one of the finest therapists I’ve ever had. As a service member of the Mental health community myself, I am aware of all of the tools others can use to help them. Dr. Wilcox has shown me that cognitive behavioral therapy works, and it works for me! She has helped me immensely by working with me to reframe situations and the way that I think about them. She is a fantastic therapist and very knowledgeable in her field. She has helped me in more than any other therapist that I have been to in my 40 years. It is a blessing to have met Dr. Wilcox and I hope she continues to share her gift with others.

Dr. Wilcox is also very knowledgeable of the Bible. Christian-based therapy and using Jesus Christ in your growth and mental health journey is amazing. If you’re looking for a therapist or someone to listen to you who will provide no judgment and only offer uplifting suggestions Dr. Wilcox is it!

It amazes me how after years of contemplating a subject that has hurt me, Dr. D was able to (admittedly after some back and forth discussion to find context) say something so simple that even she almost overlooked it; yet still feels like a weight off my shoulders because it was the exact fact I had been overlooking. Now it is up to me to apply it when my personal challenge arises but that mental navigation means everything when you were previously just running blindly in a maze. Also, she is human just like us so please remember to thank her for her willingness to help. She deserves that support just like you deserve hers.

Dr. Diane Wilcox is someone that I feel very comfortable talking to. She is very kind and knowledgeable. I love that she incorporates faith based therapy into my sessions as I have requested. I would definitely recommend Dr. Diane! She gives a new perspective in a positive light. I have learned alot about myself, and I have already grown and healed so much in such a short amount of time.

Dr. D is awesome! She listens and is able to give meaningful tips and pieces of advice that really helped me a lot. I've been dealing with anxiety and burnout in the last 9 months and talking to her gives me a sense of ease. I feel comfortable and safe confiding in her. Not only does she give good advice, but she also sings well too! I always look forward to and enjoy our sessions.
