I have over 21 years of experience working with clients. I have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I completed my APA-approved internship year at Maimondies Medical Center and Community Mental Center in Brooklyn, NY. I am a very caring and compassionate psychologist. My approach is Christian, client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and insight-oriented. I have worked with clients of all ages, and am especially skilled in helping my clients come closer to God, others, and self. I incorporate Christian teachings into my therapy and help my subscribers learn to love in a way they never have before. By truly loving God and and others, we can come to love and accept ourselves. I also believe in respecting the client, and in respecting the direction that they want to take in therapy, with gentle therapeutic direction at times. Come cast off your burdens so that you can live a fulfilled life, overflowing with love, happiness, and prosperity!

I'm very grateful to meet Dr. Wilcox as my very first Therapist. She is very professional, compassionate and the technics she's been providing me were right on point. I started to be able to address my anxiety in a more rational way and be able to manage it better. I needed to hear that "I am so proud of you".
For years, I have been struggling with anxiety, but not fully allowing myself to believe it. I had been battling the thought of wanting to try therapy, and then telling myself I could handle it on my own. One night, I was in the middle of a very difficult anxiety attack when I realized I needed help, or it may eventually kill me.
I found Betterhelp and quickly was matched with Dr. Wilcox. When I met her for our first session, she was so caring and gave me tools to help me combat my obsessive anxiety. She asked all the right questions to help me pinpoint exactly what the triggers were. As soon as I hung up from our video chat, I finally felt peace and a joyfulness that I hadn't felt in a long time.
When my anxiety started to sneak back up on me a few days later, I used my tools she had taught me and quickly shut it down before I could go into a full episode again. She is still working with me and teaching me new techniques and ways to make sure anxiety no longer rules my life. I would recommend therapy to ANYONE and EVERYONE. You deserve to not only live your life to the fullest, but ENJOY your life to the fullest.
Thanks, Dr. Wilcox. :)
In my very first session with Dr. Wilcox she listened carefully and targeted the problem that had prompted me to seek counseling with her. She gave helpful advice specific to my situation. In the second session she recalled a lot of what I had talked about and gave me time to fill her in on context. I think she's just great! Phone session went well; although she's clearly working from home she stayed on track with the session. She also communicates in the chat with the app.
Very friendly and respectful. She is easy to talk to.
Easy to talk to and makes me think rations
