Diane Doré, LMSW
About me
Hello! My name is Diane Doré and I am a Licensed Master Clinical Social Worker (LMSW). I have over 12 years of experience empowering adolescents and adults to live their best lives. I have worked in the clinical setting and currently provide school social work services in the Linden Community. I primarily support individuals who are affected by depression, anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, grief, and substance use.
I have lived in Michigan all of my life. I received my undergraduate degree in Social Work at the University of Michigan Flint and my Masters degree in Social Work at Michigan State University.
My approach to therapy is a bit eclectic and holistic as well as client centered. I believe that we are the experts of our lives and sometimes we need the support of others to help us realize our best paths. I am a firm believer that there are often a myriad of changes we must make to achieve our best lives and not just one. The important thing is to make one small change at a time. Attempting to change too much at once can lead to giving up. We didn’t create a life we don’t want overnight. It takes self love, grace, and consistency to create the life we do want.
I am also a health and fitness enthusiast weaving the knowledge I gain into both my personal and professional life. One of my greatest personal growth experiences was completing a 200 hour yoga teacher training while training for a half marathon! In my quiet time I enjoy spending time with my husband, children, and dog traveling around Michigan in our travel trailer with a good book!
