About me

Have you ever experienced insurmountable stress? Have you been a victim of crime? Or experienced other major life events that left you feeling lost, abandoned, or misunderstood?
I use compassion, gentleness, and empathy to help you explore the best possible outcome to lift the burden you may feel.
I work to bring harmony and balance to your life by enabling you to overcome adversity, stress, or trauma that you may have experienced.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who enjoys providing counseling therapy to individuals at different stages. I create a brave space for clients to share as much information about themselves as they feel comfortable. I have worked with clients who faced challenges getting along with their families and those who have self-esteem and confidence barriers. I believe in the person-centered approach to therapy. My approach to counseling is simple. I treat every client with respect. You will not be judged and will benefit from an individualized treatment that considers your strength, needs, and goals. My only goal for the client is that he/she gets what they need from therapy and feel more empowered to conquer the issues that brought them into counseling.

There are quite a few evidence-based treatments that I include in counseling. I commonly used Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I am open-minded, gentle, and adaptable. I work collaboratively with my clients, and they know and feel that their opinions, wants, and desires matter.
My past clients have described me as "warm, nurturing, real, honest, and not afraid to tackle tough conversations." I want to commend you for reaching out for support. You are stronger than you believe, and I am here to support and empower you.

Dominique really listens. She’s not one size fits all with her counseling. I feel like she really knows me. Our sessions have been incredibly helpful through some difficult times.

Working with Dominique has been a light after a very rough couple of years for me. When we first started working together, my confidence was low and I was struggling to retain a sense of self after a career leap that didn’t go as planned. Together we worked on building stronger, more vulnerable relationships with everyone in my life through understanding attachment styles and family dynamics from my childhood. Today, I am a kinder, stronger, and calmer person from my time spent with Dominique and am so thankful we are able to work together.

Dominique is great, she listens with empathy, but still gives me clear, straightforward advice to cope with my stress and to build better relationships with others. I would strongly recommend her, she has made my life so much easier and happier!
