About me
Hello! My name is Donalyn Gillette and I am a licensed professional counselor in the State of Georgia. I matriculated at Clark Atlanta University with both a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. I have over 18 years of experience counseling individuals and families in various settings, including residential treatment facilities, prisons, hospital emergency rooms, behavioral health hospitals, and crisis call centers. I also have extensive experience working with adolescents, adults, and families. I have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Anger Management.
Approach:
Typically I adopt an eclectic approach with my clients to address their specific needs. We will begin by completing a thorough assessment to understand you and your needs/concerns. I will integrate cognitive, behavioral, and person-centered approaches to help you work toward your interpersonal growth. Her goal with each client is to increase self-awareness and empower clients to achieve their personal goals.
