Hello my name is Dorothea G. Hardrick, M. Ed., M.A., L.P.C.C. I am a clinical counselor with supervision designation. Prior to engaging a career in counseling, I worked over twenty years in the banking industry, half of those years, primarily in training and development in the payment and deposit business unit. This is where the recognition of the need for multi-faceted counseling was recognized. I am an alumni of Cleveland State University (Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Masters of Education in Adult Learning and Development) and Ashland Theological Seminary (Masters of Arts in Clinical Counseling). In the transition to Clinical Counseling, I have worked many years with the adolescent, adults, and older adult population. I have training and experience in various therapies and interventions designed to assist individuals in improving overall wellness.
I have experience in individual and group mental health counseling, child and adolescent counseling, intensive outpatient, relapse prevention, women’s topic groups and private practice (individual and couples counseling). I also have basic training and experience in the trauma-focused care of EMDR. I have also had the opportunity to share mental health wellness interventions and presentations in various community settings. In addition, I have in depth experience in bereavement group facilitation for older adults and perinatal/infant loss.
I look forward to walking along side you!

Dorothea is an incredible therapist who I hope to work with longterm. In only three sessions together, we have made major strides. She has positively impacted me more than I realized was possible. I am extremely grateful for Dorothea!
