About me

Living life has been full of challenges, pain, suffering and many good times. I have worked with people from many countries and many cultures. My approach is a mix of what therapy will be most effective for the client. No one therapy approach works for everyone. Sixty years of living has taught me a lot. A Bachelor's degree in Theology then a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling with subsequent licensure, gives me the knowledge and credentials to effectively help people. I care is the biggest gift I bring to each client that I work with. The goal of my practice is to help the person overcome the issues they bring to therapy. Then live successfully without that issue dominating their life.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Douglas Fowler. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Douglas is extremely respectful. At times he may test me to get a better understanding of how I react, and he explains that. He is very clear on his intentions and the direction that he believes is may be best for progressing to my main goal, which he also lays out. He is very mindful of day-to-day issues that arise and always consults about what I want to discuss for that session. If I have expressed something that I want to discuss through the messaging function, he will acknowledge that and gently push to talk about the things that I don’t want to talk about, but NEED to talk about.
