Dustin Copenhefer

About Me

Hello! Thank you for choosing me to help you on your journey of improving your mental health. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and Pennsylvania, as well as nationally recognized as a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. I have over 14 years of professional work experience, specializing in helping clients with stress and anxiety, LGBTQIA+ related issues, trauma & abuse, coping with grief and loss, and work with military families, active service members and veterans.

I wholeheartedly embrace the beauty of vulnerability, and believe in the quote by Brené Brown, “Vulnerability is not winning or losing; it's having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome. Vulnerability is not weakness; it's our greatest measure of courage.”

I believe in treating all with dignity, respect, sensitivity and compassion. My therapeutic approach utilizes a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy, humanistic, psychodynamic, and of course encouraging all ages to be more playful in their journey of growth and discovery.

I look forward to meeting with you to help tailor and develop a treatment plan specific to your needs. I applaud your vulnerability and bravery on taking the first and most difficult step in the process, reaching out for guidance with feeling better.

Thank you again for choosing me to help you in the process, and I look forward to getting to know you better.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dustin Copenhefer. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Written by D.E. on Aug 05, 2022 after therapy with Dustin for 2 months on issues concerning stress, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, intimacy-related issues, self esteem, compassion fatigue, and adhd

Dustin is warm, intelligent, engaging and interested in dialogue. He never assumes he understands what is happening or how I’m feeling, which is so important. He’s incredibly respectful yet identifies with much of my story, and he is truly interested in my goals for therapy and what I would like to talk about. He’s aa great conversationalist and pauses before responding, which tells me that he is truly listening. A fantastic match.
