Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. Most people who find themselves on this website are struggling with some aspect of their lives. This is because we all face certain challenges, can get bumped off course, and sometimes need more guidance. That’s where I come in. Not because you are a failure or because you lack strength. We all need support at points in our lives, and these difficulties may actually be a sign you are ready to learn another way to heal and function in your life. Counseling is a way I can walk along side you on your unique path to finding your inner strength and guidance, becoming aware of what may be getting in your way, and growing and thriving in your life to create a more satisfying way of being.
I have more than 8 years of clinical experience, as well as over 18 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in numerous settings. I received my Master’s in Somatic Counseling Psychology from Naropa University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado. You may be wondering what Somatic Counseling is. I know I did before I was trained in it. It’s a form of therapy that incorporates the body into traditional talk therapy, allowing me to help clients learn to use the wisdom of their body as a resource. I am also trained in TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and yoga.
My goal is to provide clients with various skills, such as mindfulness, self-awareness, distress tolerance, resource building, and managing thought patterns, to empower them to create change. I use a client-centered, integrative approach to meet people where they are. This is because, at the end of the day, what is most important and what we all tend to want, is to be understood. I will do my best to let you know- I see you; I hear you; I’m with you.
Thank you for your courage to be here. I look forward to working with you!

Dyana is a wonderful counselor. She manages to push me to accomplish my goals while also being patient and respecting my ability to do so at a given time. She’s kind and humorous and helps me to understand the agency that I have to make changes in my life. She also reminds me to be more kind and fair to myself along the way. I’m thankful for the experience I’ve had with Dyana and the progress I’ve been able to make as a result.
It was a difficult choice for me to begin counseling but I am so glad I did! It has been the lifeline that I needed. Dyana seems to be the perfect match for me, it makes me so happy when I get to talk with her! She has also given me incredible resources and has a great listening ear and a good sense of humor. I couldn't be more pleased!
