Earl Lewis

About Me

As a couple and family therapist, licensed therapist in New Jersey & Florida, I come with years of experience working as a counselor, motivator, educator, and coach to help people move towards their goals. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, work/life balance, career challenges, OCD, and ADHD. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines solution-focused brief therapy, cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, family-systems, strength-based, and most importantly, EMPOWERING!! I BELIEVE YOU CAN DO IT!! I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

A little about me: I graduated from New Jersey City University in 2009 & 2013 with my bachelors in psychology and masters in Counseling. I went on to obtain my 2nd masters in Couple & Family Therapy at The College Of New Jersey. I like reading self-help/care books (Favorite book is The Alchemist), basketball, dogs, personal finance, and tacos. I enjoy traveling and my favorite country I have visited is Colombia.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. YOU CAN DO IT!! If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Just after a couple of days talking to Earl I started to feel a lot better, it's like my problems just went away. This is my first time doing any kind of therapy and I didn't know what to expect, but Earl's been really helpful and so nice to me, always caring, listening and helping.

Excellent therapist. Responds at a pretty efficient and timely rate, especially when he notices in distressed about something and I need to talk through it. I appreciate this a lot because online therapy is hard to get used to. Earl makes it pretty efficient and helpful.

I didn’t spend much time with Mr. Lewis but he is great. The few sessions that we had definitely helped me a lot to pin point my problem areas, he is a great listener, responds in a timely manner, and he is very understanding and flexible. I would definitely recommend him to anyone here on BetterHelp.
