About Me

Hi there! And congratulations on taking this step for yourself. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ebony and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and helping people is honestly one of my favorite things to do.

It has taken me a little while to get to this point, but I am so glad to be here. I have about 14 years of experience working in human services, however have focused the past 6 years specifically on counseling and working with adults, adolescents, couples and families.

I am a pretty seasoned professional, however I do not consider myself to be stuffy in my approach. I want to help you get to where you want to be at your own pace. I believe we make changes when we are ready and that we cannot do it for anyone else, so I encourage you to ask yourself; “Am I ready?” and “What do I really want?” I will challenge you and sometimes we may have those dreaded difficult conversations; however I believe that sometimes it is necessary to address the elephant in the room in order for us to become the best version of ourselves.
I have a history of working with individuals with a broad range of concerns to include: depression, anxiety, lack of coping skills, issues with anger, relationship issues, past trauma, poor communication, abuse/neglect, self-esteem issues and family conflict.

I would love to be a vessel to help guide you along your way, so I look forward to working with you.

Thank you!

Ebony was so kind and helpful and always made me feel comfortable during our sessions. I'm in such a better place than I was a couple months ago and, more importantly, I have so many more tools to use when I'm struggling. I'm having good weeks rather than good moments now, and Ebony was a huge part of that change. The tools and techniques that she provided were effective and she gave thoughtful and supportive responses to my messages.

I am glad I feel like I finally found someone who listens to me and understands what I'm going through.

Ebony is an amazing therapist, there aren't many people that I feel I'm truly and fully open up to, but I've felt very comfortable opening up to her in a short space of time.

Ebony is the best!!! She creates such a comfortable space, her presence is so inviting and her smile is so friendly! I completely feel at ease when I’m in my sessions with her, she validates my emotions, hears the issues at hand and never makes me feel uncomfortable or like I’m dragging on. But most importantly, she always matches my energy therefore creating a safe space and I am so grateful to have found her on BetterHelp, she really is my favorite and I look forward to our sessions every week! The absolute best!!

I greatly appreciate Ebony and am comfortable speaking with her about my problems. I have discussed my seeking counsel with others and have some friends saying that they are seeking help as well. I sent my cousin my link for services. Hopefully the stigma within our community is changed even if only a little.
