About me
Come ride the Self-Improvement Bus with me! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). My main niche is working with people who suffer from anxiety. My main tool to combat anxious thoughts is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which basically boils down to making sure your current thought process is building you up instead of working against you. CBT has a very logical approach to bring subconscious, negative thinking into the conscious world in order to change thinking patterns that aren't working for you any longer. I am very focused on how stories of the past might be contributing to your current problems. Think of me as a Truth Detective to help put you in the driver's seat of solving your REAL problems. Most current problems have an emotional component from how you've processed the past. I also am a big fan of the tool Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or Tapping. EFT works on energy healing.
I have the unique background that I am also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). This means that I know very well the stresses money can cause. This kind of bizarre combination of licenses means for my clients that I can help clients focus on their futures, preparing today for their future selves. This includes learning how to earn money in a way that is using their gifts, talents, passions, and skills. If you are happy working with your gifts, you are in the zone! I truly understand money anxiety, and this is just one more way of tackling negative thinking.
In addition to focusing on anxiety, my education and experience have been working with issues with the elderly and family dynamics with the "sandwich" generation. My approach is very practical with a focus on behavior and habits in daily living. With my business background, I teach people how to track and then improve the numbers in their lives. Positivity and cognitive restructuring are central to my work. I encourage clients to tell, own, change, and see differently their story, because that is where the heart of the matter usually resides. My counseling work is geared toward a strong emphasis on seeing one's past in relation to how to better their future. While I do offer a variety of forms of communication with BetterHelp, I strongly believe in the power of writing. Writing down our thoughts and emotions gives clarity, and my counseling skills are heightened when I have time to digest your thoughts and words. Currently, I have my own accounting, counseling, and coaching business focusing on goal setting, home management, home economics, and anxiety, stress, and time management.
I will walk with you to help you to become your own self-therapist. I will help you to become your truest self.

Awesome therapist. Not only does she listen, but provides valuable feedback
I've been working with Edie Gardner for just a few weeks, and already I can tell that good things are going to happen in my recovery! I believe there is a reason that I found her online through both Faithful Counseling and Better Help ... I'm thankful for the time and energy and responsiveness that Edie has already given to helping me heal in marriage, eating disorder and other issues in life!
Excellent!
So far Edie have been great and understand. She is always available when I need to talk.
I have benefited from my therapy with Edie this far
Edie is awesome - she listens, she gets to the root of the issue and she pushes me to grow gently. I can't ask for a better therapist.
This was my first therapy experience and I couldn’t have asked for a better therapist . Edie was truly a God send and helped me to see past the surface of things, and differ deeper to acknowledge and understand root causes. I had an incredible experience and highly recommend!
Edie has been a God send to me. She listens, she cares, she guides, she's compassionate, she's genuine, she provides a safe place for me to be at my most vulnerable self. She is amazing!
Edie is an excellent listener. She encouraging and thoughtful in the delivery of advice. Having a counselor like her has been comforting.
Edie is a wonderful counselor! She is extremely caring, empathetic, and a joy to work with. Each response from Edie exhibits a warm and respectful nature that encourages me to be as open about my personal experiences with her. I would 100% recommend Edie as a counselor and I love working with her!
Edie does a wonderful job of helping me to flesh out my thoughts and feeling so that I can have a better understanding and clarity of my history, needs, and goals.
Edie has changed my life. If you feel like you’re broken, like giving up, and other counselors just haven’t worked- talk to Edie. From day one she started giving me the tools that I needed to overcome what I was struggling with. Two weeks in and she has moved mountains and helped me with things I didn’t even know needed repairing. She is a rockstar!
She writes back quickly and asked appropriate questions.
Edie is a great listener and responds to any negative or conflicted feelings of self in a caring and gracious way. She helps to bring awareness to ways we can be harsh on ourselves and reminds me to be kind to myself as I'm in a process. She listens intently, and is able to articulate what I'm trying to say and how I'm feeling in a way that I can hear myself and understand my own emotions.
I enjoy working with Edie. Completely on my own time at my own pace- she has really helped me to focus on being good to myself!
I am very grateful I can count on Eddie’s support and guidance! Thank you.
Edie Gardner is insightful, knowledgeable, and compassionate. This is an ideal service delivery method for anyone who needs support ASAP and wants to avoid wasting travel time or waiting room time. The format is so much more personal than going to an office. I can meet in my PJs., cry in my own room if I need to, or take time before or after to reflect or meditate with privacy. This is a 100% recommend. Edie especially is a 100% recommend.
I just started working with Edie and everything has been going great.
Edie is very understanding, helpful, and caring. I appreciate her input and she is better than other counselors I have experienced.
Edie Gardner is terrific. As wise as she is competent, she is a soulful, effective therapist.
