Edith Villanueva, LPC
About me
Welcome,
First and foremost, I want you to know it takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling life. Life is full of inevitable changes. A medical doctor’s goal is to add more years to your life, but as a counselor I strive to add more meaning to it.
I have been working in the counseling field for the past eight years. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and a Licensed Chemical Dependency counselor intern. I have broad clinical experiences from working with the addiction’s population, mental health population, and working with people with disabilities.
My counseling style is nonjudgmental, empathetic, and interactive. I believe all humans are more alike than different. I also believe in treating anyone with respect and compassion. I often use an integrative approach yet consider myself to be an eclectic therapist. As I combine different approaches to see which technique better fits the client. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
If you are ready to build a trusting and positive environment to promote growth and resilience through life’s challenges, I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!
