About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience providing therapy to individuals, families and couples. I am currently licensed in Connecticut and Hawaii. I've practiced in outpatient clinics, partial hospitalization programs, inpatient facilities and programs serving victims of intimate partner violence and sexual assault. I provided individual and family therapy to patients and clinical supervision to a team of LCSW therapists in a residential treatment program for adolescents and children with extensive histories of trauma, substance abuse, mood disorders, suicide, self-injurious behavior and severe mental health issues. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults struggling with PTSD, depression, anxiety and a variety of emotional and behavioral health issues. I am passionate about strengthening families. I have extensive experience working with Military families and understand the challenges unique to living a life of service. I am a certified trainer in the Nurtured Heart Approach and find creative ways to help families learn transformative techniques for improving relationships. Work experience and additional training uniquely qualify me to provide therapy to LGBTQ youth and families as well as individuals and couples seeking a supportive experience. I recently completed extensive training to become a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Complex Trauma Treatment Professional and excel at helping people understand their symptoms and past experiences. I utilize a combination of trauma-informed Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Solution Focused Therapy techniques in my approach to providing therapy. What is most important to me is finding the approach and techniques that work the best for each individual, family or couple I treat in therapy and that we collaborate together to achieve your desired outcome. No matter what issue or concerns bring you to therapy, it is the self-awareness through exploration, the skills acquired through education and the relief in learning how to manage life’s challenges that put you on the path to better mental health!

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Eileen Boland. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Written on Oct 04, 2022 after therapy with Eileen for 2 months on issues concerning stress, anxiety, relationship issues, and family conflicts

I can’t say enough good things about Eileen. Her expertise and dedication to her field is apparent but better yet, her kindness and compassion really shine in every session we have together. She is simply an awesome human with so much knowledge to share. She is extremely flexible and always goes out of her way to see me. I feel so seen, validated and supported after each session and i have seen such a difference in my own life since seeing her. If you are on the fence about therapy, i hope this will help you to make the best decision you’ll ever make for yourself!
