About me

Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida with 40 years of experience as a dedicated mental health professional.

I received an M.Ed in Counseling and Consulting Psychology from Harvard University Graduate School of Education and an MSW in Clinical Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work. I have worked in multiple clinical settings including inpatient psychiatry, addiction treatment units, school counseling programs, and outpatient mental health clinics. My experience is primarily with adults who are dealing with mood disorders (depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder), substance use disorders, anger/stress management, grief/loss. and relationship issues. I was also a member of the Suicide Prevention team at the Bay Pines Veterans Administration Health Care System for eight years and developed the skills and resources to offer assistance to Veterans and their families. I am currently engaged in a private practice in St Petersburg, FL.

My treatment approach is collaborative, solution-focused, strength-based, and recovery-oriented. I specialize in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. My personal counseling style is warm, compassionate, supportive and interactive. Making the effort to overcome personal problems can be anxiety provoking but also deeply satisfying and rewarding. I feel honored when clients are willing to openly discuss their fears, hopes, and concerns with me. My hope is that our work together will be a collaborative effort and that I will be an ally for you in dealing with your issues and life challenges. I value and appreciate the opportunity to join you on your journey of personal growth and positive change.

I am here to offer guidance and support and look forward to working with you!
