About Me

I am a California licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I've been helping people like you for over 25 years. I respect my clients and know they are seeing me because they have hit a roadblock. Others have described me as warm, competent, compassionate, and professional. I constantly take courses to stay current in my field. I find it a privilege to be allowed into your life and explore with you what your best hopes are, what's working, and to discern how to navigate relationships. I also have a light sense of humor which can put you at ease when discussing difficult issues. I've worked with individuals, couples, children, and families and would be honored by your consideration of me as your therapist.

I have a general practice which means I have worked alongside people with various challenges. I do not believe in having one session more than you need, but as many as you find helpful. Most of my clients have come because friends or relatives have referred them to me after being pleased themselves with the results of our visits. I would be honored to work together with you to explore the changes you'd like to see in your life. I look forward to working with you!

I came to Better Help in a desperate situation. Finding mental health professionals that were available (and that I could trust) in my area was proving very difficult. I was so thrilled that Better Help made it so easy for me to get set up and to find a therapist who would be perfectly suited to me. I was extremely fearful of navigating the mental health realm (and desperate), but Better Help and Elaine solved that for me all at once.

Elaine has been my rock through this whole experience. I know Better Help is not meant to be utilized in crisis situations, but Elaine handled it like a pro. I owe a good deal of my recovery to her and cannot thank her enough. She is a fantastic listener, compassionate and offers excellent feedback and advice.

I feel like I got a therapist that is "my kind of person" and that means the world to me. Elaine, I owe you a great debt of gratitude and I will never forget this.

I'm pleased with the insights Elaine has provided me with understanding my role and my responsibilities with my estranged, but now adult children. Hearing suggestions and exploring options for living in the present has ben helpful to me in having a sense of control now and having a plan for potential, future interactions.

Working with Elaine is wonderful. Starting with my very first session she instantly put me at ease. I found that talking with her was like talking with and old friend. She is always very prompt to return any messages and seems like a very caring, authentic person.

Elaine is a good listener, and an even better speaker. She knows the right questions to ask and is able to pick up on the root of the issue almost every single time. I like the approaches she suggests and as I inculcate them in my day to day I have been noticing changes for the better in my relationships.
She’s always smiling and has a positive vibe to her! I’ve been happy with her service.
