Elana Dunn

(MEd, LPC, CPCS)

About Me

I know that life can bring challenges that at times feel like just too much to sort through or overcome on your own.  It brings great fulfillment to me to be a part of helping you to move beyond pain - beyond overwhelming stress - beyond not knowing -– beyond feeling confused. Walking WITH you through the tunnel, all the way to the other side, I learned long ago, that helping people 'change' is what I was called to do. I am humbled to be able to help you.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS). I obtained a Bachelors' degree from Auburn University at Montgomery in 1995 and a Master's degree from Montana State University-Northern in 1999. Over the past 20+ years, my devotion has never wavered. Helping you to gain peace, direction, feeling whole, safe and secure, and gaining a life anew fuels my professional intentions.

As I work with individuals, each person is wonderfully unique and requires your own unique approach. Working from the frameworks of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Solution-Focused Therapy, I create a therapeutic approach that is right for YOU.

Clients over the years have described me as "you keep it real," warm, honest, trustworthy, genuine, transparent, humorous, a teacher, and able to quickly move them forward. I am a mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. I look forward to working alongside you as you change and grow.

So far I’ve felt heard and respected. Slowly we are working through different concerns and highlighting bigger issues to focus on root causes.

Elana isn’t the first counsellor I’ve spoken to but she is the best. Elana is outstanding like a scarecrow in his field. She’s helped me set clear, achievable goals and held me accountable to them, whilst supporting every step of progress I’ve made. She’s a great listener and I’m really grateful for her guidance. Thank you!

Elana Dunn has a experienced curriculum and is indeed very wise in her advice and coaching. She is a real expert in changing one's perception and that is truly the definition of a miracle. She has the ability to change your mind and to help you overcome things you feel stuck in. I would definitely recommend Elana to anyone feeling like you need a different view and way of dealing with your reality. And I will continue working with her as she helps me growing and empowering myself.
