About Me

Hello! I am a licensed clinical professional counselor in Illinois with 4 years experience in working in community counseling. My experience in community counseling has allowed me to refine my skills in many areas. Some of these areas include individual counseling, couples counseling, family counseling as well as group counseling. I have worked with clients from young children throughout the life span. My particular interests lie in working with individuals who are suffering from anxiety, depression and relational issues. I am also a spouse to an active duty military member and am particularly interested in working with my fellow military spouses and the unique issues many of us encounter.

My treatment approach is client centered. My belief is that all clients are unique and therefore, I work towards making all my clients feel comfortable and understood. I am very warm and caring and find that building a trusting relationship between client and counselor is truly the foundation of a successful counseling relationship. I am trained in in psychodynamic, humanistic and cognitive behavioral therapy. Because no two clients are alike, I work to form a treatment plan in coordination with the client so that we can have the most successful counseling relationship possible.

Congratulations on taking the first step in a therapeutic relationship. It takes courage to take the first step and seek counseling. I look forward to beginning a rewarding therapeutic relationship with my clients.
