Elizabeth Blevins, LPC
About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia who specializes in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My career as a counselor began over twenty years ago in public mental health. The majority of my work has been as a counselor and director of counseling in collegiate settings.
My style reflects my complete commitment to you. I will listen to you deeply and help you navigate your way through whatever has prompted you to seek counseling. My past clients would describe me as warm and compassionate. Through life experiences, I know what it is like to hurt and need help.
My therapeutic approach is largely based in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), but I also draw on other approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I am respectful of and sensitive to cultural differences among people. I want to understand thoroughly where you are coming from and want to go. I believe in the importance of setting your own goals for counseling and I will support you in meeting those goals. I am flexible and responsive.
I very much look forward to working with you!

Betty is amazing. She is thoughtful, funny, knowledgeable, and knows when to pry and when to give me some grace.
