About Me

Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor that has been practicing in both Texas and Michigan for over 5 years. I work in private practice, school and community mental health based environments, with individuals and families. I earned a Masters degree in Community Counseling from Argosy University in 2012 began my counseling work partnering with parents of children diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety and high functioning Autism. Through this work, that was initially focused on their child, many of my clients also found a safe space to focus on improving their own mental health. Together we worked through through topics like worries/anxiety, high stress, low job satisfaction, trouble sleeping, relationship stressors and family conflicts. Reaching out to a counselor for help is a huge and difficult step in the process of healing. My goal is to work with my clients to find solutions to their feelings of discomfort and support them in finding personal success.

My approach to counseling is a combination of Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also integrate several techniques from Dialectal Behavioral Therapy.

I look forward to hearing from you and beginning your healing journey.

I've been pleasantly surprised at how at ease I am with Elizabeth. She does a great job of prompting me as tend to easily get distracted.

Pursuing counseling has been scary for me. I don't get scared about stuff, and if I do (which I don't), I would never ever admit it. With all of my disorganized thoughts that have built up over my 37 years, she really does an awesome job of finding something for me to focus on. She is helping me to identify and own up to a lot of behavior issues that have caused me significant struggles in creating emotional bonds with people over the years. It's such a relief to have someone I can feel safe to talk to.

I'm a very flakey on and off patient due to my busy schedule, but because I am traveling and moving all the time, BetterHelp and Elizabeth have been such an amazing resource for me. I have always been in a better place when having counseling and this has given me the opportunity to do this even while traveling. Elizabeth is wonderful and so sweet. She really listens and understands. She is always willing to schedule live sessions, give me articles and materials to read and help me with my anxiety. I am very grateful to her right now during this very stressful period of my life.
