About me
Greetings! My name is Elizabeth and I am a North Carolina based Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist with over six years of experience.
I have worked in a variety of settings including assertive community treatment for severe and persistent mental illness, behavioral health care for children and adolescents, inpatient treatment for substance use and mental health disorders, and medication-assisted treatment for opioid addiction. I have also had the honor of treating active duty service members, veterans, and first responders.
I have experience treating a wide range of issues including substance use, compulsive behaviors, depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions among many others. My most notable area of expertise is in chemical and behavioral addictions. If you have been looking to external sources for happiness and want to learn how to find fulfillment from within, we will work well together.
My counseling style is unconditionally accepting, warm, compassionate, and nurturing. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, and mindfulness interventions. I will adjust this approach to meet your unique needs.
It takes courage to ask for help and even more courage to receive it. If you are ready to take this step, I am here for you.

I can’t put into words how much Elizabeth has helped me with exactly what I needed help with. She is an angel as far as I’m concerned.

Elizabeth has been very insightful with her thought provoking questions she has me ask myself. I appreciate the homework she gives as it helps to reframe some thoughts I am having and/or give me direction on how to improve my situation.

Elizabeth has been great! She listens and appears to understand how to target the root of the issues without using a lot of fluff. She is very kind and yet isn't afraid to give it to you straight if you need it.

Elizabeth has been wonderful from the very beginning! I have always been apprehensive about going to therapy, but now I look forward to our weekly sessions. In the time that we have worked together, I have made great progress on issues that have affected my quality of life for awhile. Elizabeth is compassionate, thoughtful, and encouraging during our conversations, and she has recommended a number of coping strategies that have helped me. I am grateful for the work we have done together, and I am excited to see how much more progress we'll make.
