About me

Hello! My name is Liz, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor. I have a Master’s degree in Counseling from West Virginia University, and am currently finishing my dissertation in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Northern Colorado.

The clinical experience I’ve gained over the past eight years ranges from substance abuse counseling, to health and exercise counseling, working with survivors of intimate partner violence, and clients in a private practice setting. My experience with various populations, as well as my training in supervision and educating future counselors, has provided me with insight and passion to assist others in their journey toward continued growth.

I enjoy working with marginalized and diverse populations, and utilize an integrative approach to counseling. My goal is to be a consistent support for others, encouraging them to adapt an alternative lens through which you can approach life. I am willing to stretch myself professionally to meet the needs of clients, engage in research, and seek innovative strategies to impact long-term positive change.

Liz is amazing. To put it simply, she listens to what my needs are and respond in ways that allow me to work through things about myself that I had been trying to on my own without the results I was aiming for. If I have moments where I am not following her line of thought, she tries a different route to make a connection.

It's been quite a nice experience for me. Just to have a way to communicate when I can and get good feedback. I've been having a hard time expressing myself but feel it's helped me. Thank you.
