About me

I am a licensed professional counselor and have been working as a counselor for 7years in a variety of settings. I have been an academic counselor assisting students with their program of study and with various life stressors. I have worked for a non-profit, counseling victims of domestic violence. I have experience working in psychiatric hospitals, substance abuse recovery homes and am currently in private practice. I am an integrative counselor, utilizing a variety of orientations and therapies, according to the client’s individual needs. Most favored approaches are cognitive behavioral therapy to challenge negative thoughts and behaviors and solution focused therapy to focus on strengths that elicit change. I am known for my warm, relaxed and comforting approach to therapy which involves, genuine caring, acceptance and non-judgement.
