I know exactly what you feel because I've been there myself and through my education and professional training, I've learned life-changing tools that effectively improve how you think and feel.
My counseling style is supportive, encouraging, and positive. The most important factor in the success of therapy is the relationship you and I have and it's essential for me to build trust and connection with you while creating a safe space for you to share and heal. One of my strongest skill set as a therapist is pulling from a combination of interventions specific to your needs. I use evidence-based strategies and techniques from ACT, CBT, and DBT according to your needs and specific situation for the best outcome and results. Another approach of mine is that I don't believe in talking about past problems over and over again. This reinforces old and unhelpful emotions instead of working on what you can change today in the here and now. That's not to say that we don't talk about past issues. We'll discuss them when it's beneficial for your healing and growth. Together, we work on current problems, develop your life toolbox so you can graduate from therapy and live the life you imagined before starting therapy with me.

Elle is a wonderful counselor! I feel very comfortable speaking with her about what is going on in my daily life and looking forward to our weekly session. Elle has been incredible. I had never been to therapy before and when I started working with her she was incredibly accomodating and supportive during the transition phase. Over the last few months, I have noticed a huge change in the way I think, process, and understand myself. Elle is not only a great, compassionate listener, but has given me tools and skills that I have started to implement into my life outside of session. I can honestly say that I’m seeing changes in myself that I wouldn’t have otherwise if it wasn’t for her guidance. I would definitely recommend her!
Elle has been amazing, she is very very non-judgmental and is always constructive. She is very good at seeing through the fog but isn't mean or forceful about helping you to see things more clearly. She has helped me with my relationship with my wife and helped me to see what my role in the relationship has been and how I can change it for the better. I would absolutely recommend her.
Elle has been great to work with so far. This is my first time in counseling and she's been incredibly helpful in understanding basics and guiding me through what and why I'm feeling certain ways. I have been working with Elle for a few months now and I have already noticed a marked improvement in my daily mood and mental wellbeing. The strategies we have worked on are simple, easy to implement into everyday life, and most importantly incredibly effective. Elle always comes from a place of caring and understanding and sets goals at the pace that we agree I am capable of and comfortable with. I have wanted to be in therapy for the last 10 years, but there’s always been an excuse or reason that prevented me from committing to the process. Finally, after struggling with anxiety, negative thought loops, relationship fears, and the stress caused by living during a pandemic, I finally decided to take the first step. I saw an ad for Better Health and thought, “let’s just try it.” I was matched with Elle and thought, “let’s just see.” The pessimist in me was prepared to fail, but the part of me yearning for change was clinging to the hope that this really could work...
I am so glad that I not only followed that ad, but that I matched with Elle! I’m only a few weeks into this process, but I have already learned a ton of helpful information and strategies that allow me to better understand myself and how to navigate my anxiety and fears. Elle is an incredible blend of compassionate and supportive, while also helping me develop accountability for myself as I work to truly make change. I look forward to every session because I know I’ll have a safe place to vent, cry, ask questions, dig deeper, and learn. For this verbal processor, that is like a soothing balm.

Elle is so awesome! I love that she is thoughtful, kind, and has a sense of humor. I feel comfortable being my true self in our conversations and I feel like she is great at asking questions that help me find the answers within myself. I was nervous about doing therapy virtually because I thought there would be a disconnect, but she is fully present in our conversations and BH's app has worked great. She's helped me organize my thoughts and tackle a lot of challenges in every aspect of my life through empathetic listening and gentle yet constructive advice.
Elle is wonderful! She is the first therapist I ever had, and she never makes me feel like any of the things I struggle with is too small or too big. She's warm, kind, attentive and professional. I was super lucky to be paired with her! In the 6 months I've worked with her I have observed significant difference in my ability to manage anxiety, communication better, and be more mindful of my relationships and my thoughts. With the tools I've gained through sessions and the insights she helped me to realize, I've been able to find so much more freedom and agency in my life. I've grown in my ability to creative problem solve, observe myself more objectively and overcome many cognitive distortions. Elle is very good at employing concepts to explain the differences between thoughts and reality, and gathering the evidence to counter negative thoughts. I feel she's really been willing go to the deep end with me even when I can't exactly explain everything I'm experiencing. She helped me realize that the goal of life is to have the tools to cope with them, and that's more than enough.
