About me

Hello!

My name is Elly and I am currently working at a licensed therapist in the state of Michigan! I received my Masters in Social Work from Grand Valley State University in 2017 and have been working with people from all different walks of life ever since!

A lot of my experience comes from working with individuals who are starting to take the steps towards addressing their substance use needs. I specialize in addictions related counseling and am qualified as a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC). On top of that, I have experience working with those struggling with low self-esteem, anxiety, feeling lost or hopeless, and many other things. I have worked as both an individual and group counselor with people in many different stages of their journey! During our meetings, we will work to identify any strategies, coping skills, or interventions to help you progress at your own pace.

My goal as a counselor is to walk alongside you providing a holistic, person-centered approach! We will create goals that you would like to work toward while utilizing and celebrating your individual strengths, skills, and progress!

Reaching out is often one of the hardest first steps... I look forward to assisting you through the next ones!

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Elly Schwickrath. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Elly is the first therapist out of many that i am truly interested to talk to and I don’t feel like I’m going to a doctors appointment. She is also one of the few therapists that i feel are actually invested and want to help me. I would recommend her to anyone.

Elly is incredibly intelligent, genuinely helps and has a beautiful heart. I am thankful to have her in my life and excited to see the progress I will make with her in the future. If I were to rate her on a “Bronze, Silver or Gold” spectrum; she is without a doubt a diamond. Thank you for all your help, I look forward to making incredible progress with you! ✨
