Hello and thank you for taking the time to review my profile closer! I have a strong passion and desire to help everyone recover and discover their true happiness. I am a licensed professional with substantial experience in eating disorders, substance addiction, mental health and process addictions. I also enjoy helping people learn to thrive and overcome depression, anxiety disorders, and other general mental health ailments. If you are feeling lost or like your addiction has taken over your life, I would love the chance to help you find peace again!
I am currently licensed as a Mental Health Counselor and Certified Addictions Professional in the State of Florida. In addition, I am a Qualified Supervisor for Master’s level students who’ve yet to obtain their licensure. I recently served as the current Secretary of the Board for the Suncoast Mental Health Counselors Association. In the past, I served as the Vice President of the Board for the Tampa Chapter of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.
In addition to adults, I have experience with and enjoy working with teens and young adults. In working with teens specifically, I find great satisfaction in helping them to find their own individual wants and needs while navigating the difficult journey into adulthood. My approach with teens is to meet them where they are at, find ways to treat them with respect while also assisting them in ways to strengthen the relationships they have with the adults and peers in their lives to ensure they are healthy and appropriate.
I believe in a mind body connection and therefore, utilize a holistic approach while also integrating cognitive behavioral and reality based therapies. I also love to utilize humor and hands on approaches within my practice. Mindfulness, journaling, and a new outlook on life are some of the things you may get from our work together!

Emile is understanding and extremely responsive and flexible.
Emilie is hugely empathetic and engaging, and leaves me feeling lifted and empowered. She responds in a timely manner and even outside of scheduled sessions. I can’t recommend Emilie enough as she has the ability to work in such a way that allows you a safe space to both realize things on your own, whilst also offering uniquely helpful insights herself.
Emilie is really kind, caring and compassionate. However she's also extremely insightful and always professional. I've had other counselors who have seemed too much like a friend (with bias) and who haven't offered practical tools or solutions.
Emilie is different - she is as kind and nurturing as a friend, however professional and objective as the expert. I'm learning a lot about myself and am working through some life long trauma issues which have been hindering me for far too long.
I'm so grateful for Emilie's help. The BetterHelp method has allowed me to be much more open - the messaging feature allows me to type through the typical points that I'd clam up or freeze. Also I can message any time day or night when I'm in most need of support, venting or any release. Emilie responds as soon as she can and always with great insight.
Emilie is amazing! In just a short space of time she has helped me to start challenging how I think about and react to things. She has a really good understanding of what I'm hoping to achieve through counseling and she's had a really positive impact on my life already. She listens carefully and is very insightful, professional and respectful. I would highly recommend Emilie to anyone going through a difficult patch.
