About Me

My approach to counseling involves looking at each client holistically—focusing on the interrelatedness of the mind, body, and spirit. I appreciate being part of my clients’ journeys, “walking with them” on their unique paths to happiness, empowerment, and healing. It is an honor to be able to meet clients where they are and focus on the core of what is important to them as they walk through life’s struggles.
Often people seek therapy when they feel broken, stuck, confused, alone, or in deep pain. Isolation contributes to, or worsens, many of the challenges we face. Often, by the time people seek therapy, they have tried many ways to solve their own problems and feel stuck or unsure of what to do next; they feel as though no one has ever gone through something like this before. You are not alone in this. We are social beings; we improve with connection and support.
If you choose to work with me in therapy, you can expect that I will offer you a warm, non-judgmental, and caring space, incorporating various cognitive-behavioral, dialectical, and humanistic modalities, where we can explore your struggles, gain new coping tools that work for you, and broaden your perspective to live a more fulfilled, empowered, and confident life. I believe that we all have an innate ability to heal ourselves and move forward. Working together, I will be firmly by your side, while we bring out your true strength and happiness.
I am a graduate of Baylor University and completed my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor.

Emily is phenomenal and has been very helpful to me. She asks the right questions and I've felt great help from her in a short time. I'm looking forward to continuing this therapy with her and exploring more aspects of my life.
