Hello!

My name is Emily Baumgart and I want to thank you for coming to my page. I received my undergraduate degree in Social Work from Bridgewater State College (now Bridgewater State University) in MA, and received my Masters in Social Work from Rhode Island College. Since that time, I have worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups of all age ranges. I have practiced in the community, in local schools, hospitals, and even residential treatment programs. At this time, I am currently working on completing a post-graduate certification in Clinical Trauma.

Reaching out for help is always a challenging, but important step, and I am glad you've taken that step! My goal is to help you work on and accomplish your goals, regardless of how big or how small they may be. My style is warm, empathic, and non-judgmental. I want you to feel comfortable working with me. Together I am confident we can use various treatment models to help you. I am really looking forward to collaborating with you for a healthy, and hopeful future.

Emily is a great therapist. It is very easy to talk to her. She has guided me through a period where I have experienced a great deal of change. She is very understanding and always responds to me in a timely manner. I would recommend her to anyone that is looking for a therapist.

Emily has been a fantastic counselor to work with so far. I’ve only had one phone session with her so far but have also been talking weekly through the chat. She is extremely easy to talk to and a great listener and supporter. Highly recommend!!

Emily has always responded in a timely manner to me and checked in on me when I wouldn’t respond. She’s gone to colleagues to search for techniques that I was interested in trying and given me more resources than just her. I’ve told a few friends about not just this app but about Emily herself because of how well she’s helped me so far

I recently started counseling with Emily. So far, she has been very responsive and understanding. She even checks in on me when I have gotten busy and gone M.I.A. She has provided me with some helpful resources and been a judgment-free sounding board.

I like Emily very much! I enjoy writing to her, and she's said that we can take things at my place and according to my comfort level. This is new to me. I'm talking like I never have and I'm hoping if I talk enough, it will get easier to sound normal. I feel no judgement... again that is pretty new.

Emily responds so so promptly, and checks in if/when I don't respond for a couple days, which shows that Emily truly cares about her clients. I never have to worry about whether she'll respond to me. It's clear that she's responding because she cares about me and wants me to be healthy. She is thoughtful and thorough in her responses, her advice is so on point and it feels like I'm interacting with someone who truly supports me. I'm so grateful that I connected with Emily. This pandemic has been so isolating, and having Emily to interact with has really helped me through it. I would recommend betterhelp and Emily to anyone/everyone, regardless of your circumstances.
