About me

I received my BA form Sarah Lawrence College and my MSW from The University of Houston. I have been a practicing psychotherapist for ten years. As a student I interned at the Montrose Center, providing individual and group therapy for members of the LGBTQ+ community. I began my career working for a Partial Hospitalization Program with adults with severe and persistent mental illness. I went on to work in a Residential Treatment Center for homeless women with mental illness and substance use disorders. After serving as an Individual Therapist I took on the role of Manager of Clinical services. Next I worked at an Intensive Outpatient program counseling groups, families, couples and individuals. I simultaneously maintained a small private practice. I view therapy through an existential and psychodynamic leans, while drawing eclectically from works of other psychiatrists and psychotherapists. I am a compassionate listener, and have no preconceived notions of what your life should look like. It is my hope that through our therapy, you will begin to feel more confident in yourself and your ability to make decisions, and that you will feel heard and supported during our time together.
