About Me

I have a passion for working with those that struggle with addictions and/or substance use needs. I also have experience and enjoy working with teens and young adults as they navigate their identities, and meaning in life. My Master's in Counseling Education had an Addictions emphasis, and I have primarily worked in substance use outpatient settings, as well as in community mental health. I also have trainings in LGBTQ+ population needs, marginalized community individuals needs, DBT, Gestalt Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I believe in inclusive care for people of all shapes, sizes, colors, ethnicities, and those with disabilities. I am a white, plus size cisgender Female (She/Her), who enjoys awkward jokes, and a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) in Idaho.

It’s hard to find someone you feel you connect to- especially through online services- but Emily does that 1000 times over. I feel very heard and very supported through our sessions and she has more than met any expectations I had. She obviously loves what she does and knows her stuff but in a way that’s very appropriate and approachable from anyone’s point of view. I cant recommend her more and I am very happy I was matched to her via Betterhelp’s compatibility questions.

I feel so fortunate to have been matched with Emily! She is so kind and understanding and I felt so heard while working with her. She's given me the tools I need to manage my mental health on my own. I highly, highly recommend Emily!

Emily is a really wonderful therapist to work with. She immediately set me at ease and helped me identify my goals and work through the sources of the pressures I've been feeling. I appreciate her way of working with me which I think helps me get the space I need to process my emotions, while still guiding me through different techniques and giving me resources from a professional standpoint. I would definitely recommend Emily to anyone looking for someone help them build their confidence and address the emotions they're handling in a productive manner and truly attentive care.

Work with me!
