About me

Hello, thank you for your interest in working with me! I am a licensed clinical social worker and am currently living in Montana. I've been providing therapy since 2010 and every day am joyful to do what I do. I have a lot of experience (even prior to graduate school) working with a wide range of individuals from different backgrounds. I've worked in different parts of the country and have had the privilege of watching people grow on their personal journeys.

My favorite thing though, is to simply get to know someone, and make a plan together. Let's start where you are, and with what makes sense for you. You are the expert on your own life, and will have the support needed to set your own goals, and go at your own pace. There are some different ways we can do this.

I work with people using a strengths based, and person centered approach. The relationship between the therapist and the person seeking therapy is a great and important building block. I find the most success helping people to identify strengths they already have to empower themselves in navigating the troubles they are facing. I really enjoy using CBT, which basically helps you learn to change automatic negative thoughts, and improve your outlook and sense of wellbeing.

I work helping people to navigate difficult life transitions, anxiety, depression and/or feelings of being 'stuck'. Life can often throw curveballs, but with the right tools and support you'll be able to navigate these difficulties with confidence. I work well helping individuals who have trouble with anxious and worried thinking, compulsions, have poor self-confidence, depression, or are making their way through changes in life like graduating from college and starting a career, managing rocky relationships, or reframing their newfound freedom after raising a family. I also am here to support people during difficult periods of grief and confusion, and recognize the importance of a supportive and reliable relationship to get through these times.
