About me

Hello. My name is Emily and have been counseling in South Carolina for 11 years. I am extremely passionate about building working relationships to validate, empower and encourage people who want to address issues they may be struggling with. My main goals is to create a safe, comfortable environment where one can share openly without fear of judgment, rejection or ridicule. Identifying feelings and being able to share with an unbiased person helps one to realize that your pain is your pain regardless of what other people may be dealing with. I have experience working with trauma, abuse (verbal, physical, mental, emotional), addiction, domestic violence, relationships and bipolar disorder.
I would love the opportunity to help you by listening empathetically while providing compassion, insight and tools that are specific to you and your needs.
Give yourself credit for seeking help as it is hard to ask for help and share our struggles and pains with someone. I am excited for you and hope that you can gain some tools and insight by finding the right person to talk to. I look forward to the opportunity to help you with the rewards that can be gained in counseling.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Emily Ross. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Emily is awesome. I feel like I’ve known her for years. Today she had some kind of issue with her house key, but she still called me on the phone and sat in her car to talk to me. She does a wonderful job on relating things that she’s been through to the things that I’m dealing with. It makes me feel way less crazy! And she’s really helping me deal with not beating myself up over so many things that I have done for so many years. I highly recommend Emily. She’s like an old friend and, just like an old friend, she will tell you exactly what you need to hear, even if it’s not pretty lol. I feel very lucky to have connected with her.
