Emily Seraphin, LPC
About me
I am an individual and family counselor licensed in Texas with over 6 years of experience working with a wide range of clients ages 5 and up. I graduated in 2012 with my master's in counseling from St. Edward's University in Austin and have worked in non-profit, private-practice, and corporate settings.
Working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, family conflict, parenting, grief, life transitions, and other issues, I use an approach tailored to each client and their specific needs and goals. I see each client as having a unique set of circumstances, so I draw from various approaches to offer sources of help. These approaches include solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, family systems, and more.
I offer a space to reflect and organize your thoughts: if you decide to work with me, we would start out by discussing what your life looks like overall right now and what kind of life goals you have in general. That way, we can create some goals for our work together. I'll share my perspective as needed and I'll probably ask a lot of questions, but you are in the driver's seat. I am here to help support you find the best tools and solutions for your specific journey.
