About me

I am a Pluralistic Counsellor, which means I may work in a number of different modalities (similar to integrative counselling), where I work in a person-centred modality but draw elements from CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), Creative therapies, Solution Focussed therapy or Psychodynamic approaches depending on what the client works well with. I work with clients that struggle with a wide range of difficulties including anxiety and depression. I work within a safe, therapeutic and non-judgemental environment where clients can explore what they are bringing into the counselling room. My journey started by studying a BSc Psychology (Hons) and volunteering for a suicide prevention charity which then led me to embark on a career in Counselling where I decided to study the MSc in Pluralistic Counselling and never looked back. I really enjoy working collaboratively with clients.

Kind, supportive, listen, but also give good leading questions. What I need for my therapy!

Emma greatly helped me to cope with my anxiety and supported me through a very difficult time in my life. The therapy was certainly worth the cost.
