About Me

I fulfill the roles of husband, father, U.S. Army Veteran, and professional counselor to name a few. Credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in NC and as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), I believe that everyone is juggling multiple roles daily that may affect their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual health. Conversely, those four previously mentioned areas of health influence the multiple roles we fulfill. Think of it as a bit of an ongoing cycle. If this sounds like you, subscribe to work with me.

My counseling style is nonjudgmental, respectful, compassionate, and empathetic. I integrate brief solution-focused therapy as well as rational-emotive therapy. When possible, I like to infuse humor into my sessions. With over 12 years counseling experience, I have worked with military service members and their families, “at-risk” youth, couples and families, and individuals marginalized in today’s society. I have served individuals and families with a variety of diagnoses to include, depression, anxiety, autism, and child/adolescent behavioral disorders. If you or someone close to you is experiencing any persistent thoughts, feelings, or behaviors that are having a negative impact on your life, consider subscribing to work with me.

I look forward to partnering with you as you pursue an enhanced relationship with yourself and others!

I'm very thankful for all the counselling, help and support that Eric has given me during my time on Better help. He really listened to my issues, helped me work through them and constantly reflected a very positive tone even through a message box. I highly recommend Eric for people looking to work out their stubborn knots in life.

Eric came into my life during a time of crisis. Not only did he provide a listening ear, but he provided tangible tools that I can actively use. I appreciate his helpful messages and am grateful for him being a supporter during a very difficult time. Keep up the great work!

Eric has been a wonderful addition to my support system. He listens, tell me what I need to hear rather than what I want to hear. He is very timely and does more than just give me advice, he gives my tools and exercises that help with remembering how to implement the things that I know I need to change in my communication and just well being.

I recommend him because he is very good at what he does and appears to also be passionate about it because he goes over and beyond!

Thanks Eric!

My experience with Eric has been outstanding so far! He really listens, gives constructive input and truly cares! Surprisingly, meeting online has been even more effective than I had hoped. I have already started recommending BetterHelp to others.

So glad I gave BetterHelp a chance and was paired with Eric. He is understanding and genuine. We are on the right track to getting things together and I am very happy to have someone like Eric who really listens, and offers support. He not only offers emotional support but also helps me come up with logical solutions to the situations. I highly recommend Eric for anyone.
