About Me

Hi, Welcome. I am so proud of you for taking the first step into your healing journey. My name is Erica and I have been working with children, adolescents, young adults and adults for over 12 years. I have a strong knowledge base of resources in the philadelphia metro area, as well as flexible scheduling including nights and weekends. During the day I am a stay at home mom, which is a big transition for me and quite the journey. This means I am able to check my email and text throughout the day. My experience includes case management and psychiatric acute care or what people call partial hospitalization; basically I ensured that myself and my team helped clients stabilize during, or after a crisis.

My orientation for treatment is trauma based, focusing on rapport and safety, then gently exploring how our past experiences shape our reactions and relationships today. I then integrate more concrete methods to help change negative thought patterns, behaviors and communication, to help you in your healing journey.

I started my career in case management working with children and families, connecting them to community resources, and therapies, then I grew into acute care, running children and adolescent group therapy, family therapy and individual and crisis counseling. I have some experience in department of corrections, addictions and juveinille justice. I returned to acute care, this time working with adults and then finally into individual counseling. Since most of my history is in acute care I have a passion in working in crisis and trauma, working with all demographics.

In the first meeting, Erica helped me make a major breakthrough, and throughout our relationship (which unfortunately was brief), she helped me learn a lot more about myself, and work on additional areas. Highly Recommend!

I’m only a few weeks into therapy, but I am so thrilled I was matched with Erica. I feel comfortable being honest with her and she helps me understand the mechanisms of what I am feeling. She helps me believe I can make strategic change.

Erica is fantastic. I was extremely nervous to start counseling but she is very easy to talk to. It's nice having someone neutral look at your situation and make you realize you aren't alone. ESPECIALLY during quarantine.

I feel super comfortable opening up to Erica. I feel like I am learning a lot about myself and making progress only two weeks in.

After having a rough start to BetterHelp, I was almost giving up.
Erica has came into my life and changed it in ways that I never imagined, my goal was to be consistent with counseling, therefor my counsellor had to be consistent with me and that is exactly what Erica is.
She is so professional, kind, caring and amazing at what she does it’s only been a few weeks working with Erica but I feel like she’s been in my life a lot longer with what she has got me through!

I’ve only been speaking to Erica for a week but I already trust her and feel like she is a great match for me. Nonjudgmental, open and communicative. Just what I needed.
