About Me

Welcome. My name is Erin Foley and I am a licensed Mental Health counselor in Florida and Washington. I have over ten years working in the counseling field. I assist clients struggling with work/school challenges, identity, cultural assimilation, anxiety, mood disfunction, family difficulties, life transitions, past trauma, and grief/loss.

My approach to therapy is from a humanistic and systems perspective. I utilize many modalities from psychodynamic therapy, relational psychology, mindfulness therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. I also draw from my experience in Aikido, a martial art utilizing unity and harmony to deal with conflict. I view counseling as an active relationship between both people. It is through our relationships that we have an opportunity to learn more about ourselves. I respect you are the expert of your life experience. My role as a therapist is to provide a safe and challenging environment for clients to bring awareness to problem areas, identify patterns, beliefs, and make changes. Therapy is shaped around your goals which I will help guide and draw from your strengths so you may meet those goals.

I understand finding a counselor that you feel comfortable with is important for building a safe connection to gain insight and make changes. I provide an open perspective, compassionate listening and a safe space for you to share your concerns. Through the process of therapy, I hope for you to gain deeper understanding of yourself and find the support you need.
